Mumbai, Sept. 15 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that the southwest monsoon has finally begun its retreat from Rajasthan. Following this, rains have lashed various parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai and Pune.

In Mumbai, heavy rain has led to waterlogging in low-lying areas, disrupting traffic and daily life. Authorities have warned that rainfall intensity in Mumbai is likely to increase in the coming hours, accompanied by thunder.
