Mandi, Sept. 3 -- Relentless monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in Kunduni village of Jogindernagar subdivision, Mandi district, forcing the evacuation of the entire settlement.

Continuous downpours triggered massive landslides today, damaging 10 houses and leaving several others unfit for habitation. More than six additional houses remain under threat as the hill behind the village continues to collapse.

Sensing the growing danger, the local administration swiftly shifted all 24 families to a safer location early this morning. Many women left their ancestral homes in tears, carrying only essentials. Along with them, domestic cattle, cows, goats, and sheep were also moved to safety.
