Shimla, Aug. 14 -- Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing multiple cloudburst and extremely heavy rains since last night, triggering flash floods, landslides, and widespread damage across several districts, government sources said.

Most rivers are flowing above the danger levels, prompting evacuations and road closures. A cloudburst in the hills behind Khaltunala of Kotkhai brought massive debris into a drain at around 3 am yesterday, burying more than six vehicles and half of a petrol pump. The employees on duty escaped unhurt after fleeing on time.
