Kolkata, July 8 -- Train services at busy Sealdah station of Eastern Railway were affected today following waterlogging at various stations linking Main and Bongaon after heavy rains lashed the area since last night, official sources said.

Waterlogging in some major parts of the city also badly affected the traffic movement in the peak hours even as the city conservancy department has deployed pumps to dewater from the main avenues connecting Howrah, Sealdah and city office areas.

Train services in Sealdah Main section were affected with reports of waterlogging at Belghoria, Titagarh of the main link and Barasat towards Bongaon, the busiest part of the Eastern Railway system for local commuters.
