Chennai, Dec. 1 -- PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss today had a dig at the ruling DMKfor not declaring a holiday for schools today in view of heavy rains lashing Chennai and puttingschool children to hardships.
In a statement here, he said with Chennai and its suburbs receiving heavy rains since this morning,the lives of students have been severely affected as schools and colleges were functioning as usualtoday.
Thousands of students from many schools have returned home drenched.
The Tamil Nadu authorities should be held responsible for the students' misery.
The Meteorological Department has been warning for the past few days that Chennai and North TamilNadu will receive rains due to Cyclone Ditwah.
