Hyderabad, March 24 -- Moderate to heavy rains accompanied by a hailstorm lashed some parts of Hyderabad on Tuesday night, disrupting normal life and causing widespread traffic snarls.
Areas such as Gachibowli, Shaikpet, and Manikonda were among the worst affected, with Shaikpet recording 4 cm of rainfall within just one hour. Major roads were submerged, and low-lying areas were inundated across several localities including Madhapur, Ameerpet, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Kukatpally, Secunderabad, and LB Nagar.
The sudden downpour during peak evening hours left commuters stranded, with vehicular movement coming to a near standstill in key areas such as Koti, Abids, RTC Cross Roads, and Dilsukhnagar.
