Sabarimala, June 15 -- Due to heavy rainfall and rising water level in the Pampa river, a temporary ban has been imposed on devotees bathing at the Pampa river as the world famous Lord Ayyappa temple witnessed heavy flow of pilgrims on Sunday.
With heavy rains lashing the Pampa-Sannidhanam route, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has advised devotees to exercise caution while climbing the hill. Temporary restrictions are also in place for vehicle parking at Triveni in Pampa.
Undeterred by the continuous monsoon downpour, thousands of devotees offered prayers to Lord Ayyappa at the dawn on the first day of Malayalam month 'Midhunam.'
