Pune, July 21 -- As the Monsoon trough now passes through Ganganagar, Delhi, Hardoi, Gorakhpur at mean sea level and lays close to the foothills of the Himalayas, rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls and isolated extremely heavy falls are likely over Assam and Meghalaya during next 24 hours, forecast the India Meteorological Department today.

It further said that rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy spells is also likely in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the period.
