Itanagar, May 14 -- Incessant and heavy pre-monsoon showers continued to lash Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, throwing normal life out of gear.

The Itanagar capital region has been experiencing heavy rainfall since early Wednesday morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh for the next two days, with isolated areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall for the last few days.

These persistent rains have raised concerns about potential landslides and flash floods in vulnerable areas. Residents have been advised to remain vigilant and avoid landslide-prone zones, as heavy rainfall can lead to temporary road blockages and damage to infrastructure.
