Chandigarh, Sept. 10 -- Punjab and Haryana are facing severe weather challenges as heavy rainfall continues to disrupt normal life.

In Punjab, 13 districts are experiencing light to moderate rainfall, submerging over 2,000 villages and exacerbating flood conditions across 23 districts.

Although dam water levels have fallen below the danger mark, waterlogging persists in low-lying areas, causing significant hardship. A special girdawari is underway to assess crop damage, with results expected within 72 hours, according to Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
