Amaravati, Aug. 5 -- The upper air cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the north Tamil Nadu coast persists and is now observed between 1.5 km and 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting southward with height, the Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.
In its daily weather report, the centre stated that the cyclonic circulation over Rayalaseema and its neighbourhood also persists and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
An east-west trough is currently running roughly along latitude 10degN from the southern parts of the east-central Arabian Sea to the central parts of the south Bay of Bengal, passing across South Interior Karnataka and North Interior Tamil Nadu.
