Amaravati, Sept. 19 -- The Met office has forecast heavy rains at isolated places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema over the next 24 hours, as well as in north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on September 23.
The Meteorological Centre said on Friday that a trough is extending over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining Myanmar coast to the south Maharashtra coast. It passed across the central Bay of Bengal, south Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka, obseravble at 3.1 km above mean sea level, the Met Centre said.
In its daily weather report, the IMD noted that the upper air cyclonic circulation over south interior Karnataka at 5.8 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
