Amaravati, July 17 -- Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next five days, the Meteorological Centre said on Thursday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in Rayalaseema during the next three days.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds with speed ranging from 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places or at few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
