Shimla, July 21 -- Continuous heavy rain has thrown normal life out of gear in Himachal Pradesh, with the Shimla-Jubberhatti Airport Road partly restored after a breast wall collapsed earlier in the day. Traffic movement remains slow, while adverse weather continues to affect flight operations. The Tirthan river in Kullu district is overflowing above danger levels, and residents have been strictly warned to stay away from water bodies. According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, 468 roads, including three national highways, are blocked due to landslides and mudslides, while 676 water supply schemes and 1,199 power transformers remain disrupted.
