Shimla, June 24 -- Himachal Pradesh is witnessing intensified monsoon activity, with heavy rainfall and gusty winds sweeping across several districts.
The southwest monsoon has advanced further into the region, with the Northern Limit now extending through Shimla, Pathankot, and adjoining areas.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), favourable conditions persist for its complete advancement in the next 48 hours.
In the past 24 hours, heavy rainfall was recorded at Nadaun (63.5 mm), Kangra (55.5 mm), and Paonta Sahib (49.0 mm), while gusty winds touched 46 km/h in Kukum seri.
