Jammu, June 12 -- There has been no letup in the intense heatwave conditions on Thursday as the maximum temperatures continued to settle above normal in the parts of Jammu province.

The Jammu district however, recorded another hottest day of the season with maximum temperature notching at 43.6 degree Celsius.

"Jammu City recorded slight improvement but continued to witness above normal temperatures as it recorded a maximum temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday against Friday's 44.4 degrees Celsius and figured among the top 'hot-spots' ranking 68th hottest place across the globe," said an official.
