Mohali, July 17 -- The Mohali court has deferred the hearing in the disproportionate assets case against senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia to July 22, after the state government failed to submit its reply.
The court will also hear Majithia's bail petition and his plea seeking a change of barrack in the New Nabha Jail on the same day.
Majithia, who is currently in judicial custody following his arrest by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau, has moved the court requesting a shift in his barrack, citing security concerns and eligibility for specific jail facilities under the Punjab Jail Manual.
