Sultanpur (UP), April 28 -- The hearing in the defamation case against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and MP from Rae Bareli Rahul Gandhi was held in a special MP-MLA court of Sultanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, court sources said here.
Sources said that the plaintiff's lawyer presented the witness Anil Mishra in the court of Special Judge Shubham Verma, who was cross-examined by Rahul Gandhi's lawyer.
"As the cross-examination process could not be completed, the court of Special Judge has fixed May 17 as the next date of hearing," they said.
Sources said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vijay Mishra, a resident of Hanumanganj, had filed a defamation complaint against Rahul Gandhi in the MP/MLA court in the ye...
