Hyderabad, Oct. 9 -- The Telangana High Court today adjourned the hearing on the issue of BC reservations in local bodies to Tomorrow.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice A K Singh said the arguments will resume at 1415 hours.
The case pertains to the state government's issuance of G.O. No. 9, which provides 42 per cent reservations for Backwards Classes (BCs) in local bodies. The move was challenged in the High Court by petitioners B Madhav Reddy and Samudrala Ramesh. National Backward Class Welfare Association President and Rajya Sabha MP R Krishnasaiy, senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, and several BC leaders filed implead petitions supporting the reservation.
