Chandigarh, March 26 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has expressed strong dissatisfaction over an "unusual delay" of ten years in investigating a grave complaint involving allegations of rape, forced abortions, and corruption against a high-ranking Punjab Police officer of Superintendent of Police (SP) rank.
The matter came to light during the hearing of a petition filed by a victim who alleged that the officer exploited her under the guise of providing legal assistance, eventually subjecting her to years of physical and mental trauma.
