Chandigarh, Nov. 10 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has sought a detailed status report from the Chandigarh Administration in the alleged suicide of senior Haryana IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar.

During a hearing on Monday, a bench comprising Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Sanjiv Berry asked the administration to clarify the current stage of the investigation and whether the case meets the conditions necessary for transferring it to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
