Bengaluru, Nov. 13 -- The Karnataka High Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on a plea filed by DNA Entertainment Networks Pvt Ltd challenging the findings of a judicial commission report that held the company responsible, among others, for the June 4 Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede which left 11 people dead and over 50 injured.
A division bench comprising Justices D.K. Singh and Tara Vitasta Ganju heard arguments from both sides before reserving its judgment.
Senior Advocate B.K. Sampath Kumar, appearing for DNA Entertainment, contended that the inquiry commission headed by retired Justice John Michael D'Cunha did not give the company's officials a proper opportunity to be heard.
