Prayagraj, March 14 -- The Allahabad High Court has quashed an order issued by the administration on the restriction of worshippers in a mosque in western UP's Sambhal.
The court observed that if the Superintendent of Police (SP) and the District Magistrate (DM) are unable to maintain law and order, they should either tender their resignation or request a transfer.
The matter was heard by a division bench comprising Justice Siddharth Nandan and Justice Atul Sridharan.
The judgement was given on February 27 but was uploaded on the website on Friday night.
