Shimla, Sept. 26 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court today extended interim protection from coercive action for IAS officer and former HPPCL Managing Director, Harikesh Meena, in connection with the mysterious death case of Vimal Negi. The matter will now be heard on October 6.
A single bench of Justice Verinder Singh heard two bail applications linked to the case. Appearing for the CBI, counsel Janesh Mahajan did not oppose the extension of interim relief granted earlier to Meena.
The court also dealt with the bail plea of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Pankaj Kumar, posted at Sadar police station, Shimla.
