Kolkata, Dec. 22 -- The Calcutta High Court on Monday reverted a lower order directing Rajganj Block Development Officer Prasant Burman to surrender within 72 hours in connection with the murder case of goldsmith Swapan Kamilya.

Kamilya was found dead in a desolate area in New Town, Kolkata on October 29 with multiple wounds.

The single bench of Justice Tirthankar Ghosh while asking the BDO to surrender in the Barasat court in North 24 Parganas in next three days, also observed that the lower court should have checked all the documents before giving the anticipatory bail in the murder case.
