Shimla, April 22 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court today deferred the hearing in the Forest land encroachment case after fixing the next date for hearing in July 8.

The division bench of high court comprising justice Dharm Chand Chauhdary and Justice Vivek Thakur ordered the state to file status report on the progress of state government to evict the encroachment by or before the next hearing.

The counsel for the state of Himachal Pradesh and Advocate General Mr Ashok Sharma told UNI that state submitted the status report on the last order of high court today. The court also order the state to file another status report in the matter by the next hearing and deferring the case for July 8 now.
