Shimla, Dec. 29 -- In a significant ruling reinforcing the rights of persons with disabilities, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has allowed a petition filed by a hearing-impaired employee seeking regular appointment in the Irrigation and Public Health (IPH) department.
The judgment was delivered by Justice Sandeep Sharma on December 17.
The petitioner, Deepak Gupta, presently working as a Senior Assistant in the IPH Department, had approached the court after his representation seeking regularisation from the date of his initial appointment was rejected by the department.
