New York, July 19 -- HBO's two-part docuseries "Billy Joel: And So It Goes", directed by Susan Lacy ("Spielberg") and Jessica Levin, closely examines how the singer inspired by his complex and often tumultuous life wrote and produced songs that made him a legendary rock artiste.

Joel, a six-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, initially wasn't interested in making the documentary but was convinced by his management team to go ahead with the project, reports Variety.
