Los Angeles, Nov. 6 -- HBO has officially shut down circulating rumours suggesting that its "Harry Potter" television adaptation will feature a narrator.

The clarification puts an end to a wave of rumours that had spread through fan forums and entertainment outlets, suggesting that an off-screen voice would guide the story, reports DEADLINE.

The confusion stemmed from a report by Redanian Intelligence, which claimed that British actor Tom Turner, known for "Beauty and the Beast", had been cast as the series' narrator. Turner's voice agency touts his "rich" and "luxurious" tones, but HBO sources said they will not be part of Potter, which is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
