Hazaribag (Jharkhand) , Dec. 24 -- The local police carried out a major crackdown on a gang allegedly cheating people by promising loans through a fake institution posing as a Mudra bank. Acting on confidential inputs and a complaint registered on the Pratibimb App, police arrested nine suspects on December 23.
According to officials, the gang was collecting large sums from unsuspecting victims on the pretext of arranging loans and was operating from Vinoba Bhave Nagar, under the Korra police station area. After verifying the information, a special raiding team was constituted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar) Amit Kumar (IPS).
