Chennai, Feb. 21 -- Launching a blistering attack on the BJP-led government at the Centre and accused it of pursuing communal politics, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Saturday evening said having erased Mahatma Gandhi's name from the MGNREGA scheme out of hatred towards the Father of the Nation, it was also making efforts to remove Bapu's name from the Indian currencies.
Speaking at an event, "Remambering Bapu". organised by MNM Founder and Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan at the Mahatma Gandhi museum in Madurai, Mr Stalin said the BJP government was hell bent on removing the name of the Apostle of Peace from the hearts of the people.
