Mysuru, Dec. 23 -- Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday asserted that the proposed hate speech prevention Bill applies equally to all political parties, accusing the BJP of opposing the legislation without any valid reason.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Siddaramaiah rejected the BJP's charge that the Bill was drafted to target select individuals. "The law applies to everyone, irrespective of party affiliation. Why is only the BJP opposing it? Does hate speech help in establishing peace in society?" he asked.
