Colombo, Aug. 21 -- Sri Lanka have announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming two-match ODI series on their tour of Zimbabwe.
A key member missing out on the squad is Wanindu Hasaranga, who picked up a hamstring injury during the T20I series against Bangladesh back in July.
The star all-rounder was ruled out of the three-match series against Bangladesh after sustaining the injury and hasn't been named for the upcoming tour.
Meanwhile, making a comeback to the squad is 25-year-old top-order batter Nuwanidu Fernando, who last featured in an ODI for Sri Lanka back in 2024 against New Zealand.
Sri Lanka will be touring Zimbabwe for two ODIs and three T20Is starting with the first ODI on
August 29 in Harare.
