Chandigarh, July 14 -- Popular Haryanvi singer and rapper Rahul Yadav, better known as Fazilpuria, has narrowly escaped a suspected gunfire attack in Gurugram.
Unknown assailants, allegedly trailing him in a Tata Punch car, opened fire at Fazilpuria's white Thar SUV yesterday in a style reminiscent of the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Fazilpuria managed to escape unharmed, but was untraceable when police reached the scene.
The incident took place on the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) near Fazilpur village. Police said the assailants chased his vehicle and fired multiple shots, prompting Fazilpuria to speed away. His security cover had reportedly been withdrawn just three months ago.
