Chandigarh, May 2 -- : The Haryana State Election Commission has taken a stern view of the illegal installation of posters, banners, flex boards, and hoardings during the ongoing general and by-elections for municipal bodies.
Secretary of the Haryana State Election Commission, Gaurav Kumar, stated that despite repeated warnings, several candidates and political parties continue to display promotional materials in unauthorised public spaces, including roads, intersections, and government buildings. Such actions constitute a direct violation of the Model Code of Conduct and the Haryana Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1989.
