Chandigarh, Dec. 10 -- Haryana is preparing to expand its administrative map with the potential creation of 11 new districts.

A cabinet sub-committee held a detailed meeting in Chandigarh to evaluate proposals for new districts, including Asandh, Narayangarh, Manesar, Pataudi, Pihowa, Hansi, Barwala, Safidon, Gohana, and Dabwali.

The committee reviewed 62 proposals in detail and compiled a report, which has now been forwarded to Chief Minister Naib Saini for final consideration. The government has set December 31, 2025, as the deadline for a decision, ahead of the upcoming census, which requires finalized district boundaries.
