Chandigarh, Nov. 11 -- Haryana has been placed on high alert following the explosion near Delhi's Red Fort Metro station that killed nine people on Monday. Security has been intensified across all districts adjoining the National Capital Region (NCR), including Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar, and Sonipat.

Police have stepped up checking at inter-state borders, railway stations, bus stands, metro stations, and other public places. Vehicles entering the state from Delhi are being allowed passage only after thorough inspection. The movement of people and goods is being closely monitored to prevent any untoward incident.
