Chandigarh, Dec. 26 -- A high-altitude climber from Haryana has etched his name in record books after leading an Indian mountaineering team to the summit of Pico de Orizaba, the highest peak in Mexico and the tallest volcano in North America.

The successful expedition was completed in December 2025, marking a significant milestone for Indian mountaineering on the global stage.

Narender Kumar, a native of Hisar, said the achievement was the result of collective effort, discipline, and determination shown by every member of the team.
