Chandigarh, Feb. 28 -- The Haryana government has declared a paid holiday on March 2 for registered voters of areas where elections of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees will be held.

According to a notification issued by the Human Resources Department, March 2 (Sunday), will be observed as paid holiday for voters in all the wards of seven Municipal Corporations, four Municipal Councils and 21 Municipal Committees.

Paid leave would also be extended to area where civic by-polls are due to take place.

Paid holiday will be given on March 9 (Sunday), when polling takes place for the seats of Mayor and Members of all wards of Municipal Corporation-Panipat. UNI GS SSP
