Chandigarh, April 18 -- The Haryana government has decided to grant an interest-free advance of Rs 25,000 to all its Class-IV employees for the purchase of wheat. The advance will be recoverable in equal monthly installments, with the entire amount to be recovered before the close of the current financial year 2025-26.

According to a letter issued by the Finance Department today, the advance will be admissible only to permanent and temporary regular employees. In cases where both husband and wife are employed in government service, the advance will be sanctioned to only one of them, it said. UNI GS RN
