Chandigarh, Sept. 2 -- The Haryana Government has greenlit an ambitious Rs 315 crore plan to modernize and strengthen the state's irrigation infrastructure, as decided in a high-level meeting of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today.

The initiative includes 54 projects to rehabilitate and remodel canals across multiple districts to ensure efficient water supply for farmers.

The approved projects will emphasise on upgrading 30 canals through rehabilitation and remodeling 24 others under the Yamuna Water Services, Loharu Water Services, and Jawahar Lal Nehru Circles.
