Chandigarh, Dec. 4 -- Haryana Deputy Speaker Dr Krishan Midha has initiated an inquiry into corruption allegations levelled against his personal assistant, Mohit Sharma, following an RTI activist's accusation that he had amassed disproportionate assets and misused his official position.
The allegations, raised by Jind-based RTI activist Bharat Bhushan, claim that Sharma has built benami properties worth crores across multiple states. The complaint also alleges that Sharma's wife, a government employee in Jind district administration, has been drawing a salary without attending office since the COVID pandemic.
