Chandigarh, Dec. 3 -- The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released the results of the Assistant Professor recruitment exam for the college cadre in the English subject, revealing a major shortfall in successful candidates.
Out of about 2,200 candidates who appeared for the exam for 613 English posts, only 151 cleared the required 35 per cent marks. This leaves nearly 75 per cent of the vacancies unfilled, raising concerns over the recruitment process.
Congress leader Shweta Dhull criticized the examination pattern, highlighting that even highly qualified candidates, including NET JRF toppers and gold medalists from Haryana, failed to meet the minimum cutoff.
