Haryana CET exam sparks row: Why shut 35,000 schools for just 1,300 centres?
Chandigarh, July 21 -- A fresh controversy has hit Haryana ahead of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group-C posts scheduled on July 26 and 27. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is under fire for its decision to shut down nearly 35,000 government and private schools across the state - even though the exam is being conducted at only around 1,300 centers.
The Federation of Private Schools Welfare Association has strongly opposed the move, calling it "excessive and unnecessary."
