Chandigarh, Dec. 9 -- The Haryana Health Department convened a high-level emergency meeting on Tuesday as a two-day strike by government doctors disrupted medical services across the state.

Health Minister Aarti Rao, Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal, and Director General of Health Services Dr Manish Bansal reviewed the situation and sought district-wise reports on the impact of the strike.

Minister Rao directed officials to ensure that essential healthcare services remain functional and that patients do not face undue hardship.
