Hyderabad, Sept. 1 -- Former Minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao today strongly objected to the Kaleshwaram Commission report, alleging that the inquiry headed by Justice P C Ghosh had violated constitutional provisions and was politically motivated.

Participating in the debate on the Commission's findings in the Legislative Assembly, Harish Rao said neither he, nor former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, nor the officials and leaders summoned were given notices under Section 8B of the Commissions of Inquiry Act.

"We were denied the right to be informed of the allegations and to submit explanations. No opportunity for cross-examination was given. This clearly shows that the inquiry was conducted against the rules," he said.
