Hyderabad, Dec. 29 -- INTUC Secretary General B Janak Prasad on Monday strongly criticised Harish Rao, asserting that he has no moral authority to comment on Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Janak Prasad alleged that during the previous regime, MPs of Harish Rao's party supported moves towards privatisation of Singareni.
He further claimed that as Finance Minister, Harish Rao burdened the company with debts to the tune of Rs 30,000 crore and diverted Singareni funds for projects such as a stadium in Siddipet.
Janak Prasad also criticised the earlier government for failing to ensure medical seats for workers' children despite allocating funds for a medical college.
