Dehradun, Aug. 22 -- Senior Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat has alleged that he contributed one crore rupees to Rs 30 crore fixed deposit (FD) corpus that Uttarakhand BJP has to finance organisational activities.

In a viral video circulating on social media, Rawat claimed he collected money from the "mining mafia" to fund the ruling party's Rs 30 crore fixed deposit bank corpus to run the state organisation.

Congress leader said that the contribution by him to the BJP was made when he was forest minister in chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's first tenure, before the 2022 assembly elections.
