Hyderabad, Sept. 16 -- Senior Congress leader and former MP V Hanumantha Rao on Monday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders, accusing them of distorting history and disrespecting national leaders. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he questioned the need for a cricket match with Pakistan, pointing out that families of martyrs were protesting against it.
Hanumantha Rao strongly objected to Modi's remarks that the Congress supports terrorists, reminding that both Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi had fallen victim to terrorism. "Will you insult the Nehru family that sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom?" he asked.
