Hamirpur (HP), Feb. 25 -- The Deputy Commissioner of Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh Amarjit Singh on Tuesday asked officials and people to cooperate with the authorities in saving forest wealth from repeated fires.
He held a meeting with officials of DDMA, the Forest Department, Home Guards and Fire, the Revenue Department, Rural Development, and other related departments on Saturday regarding preparations to prevent incidents of forest fires during the upcoming summer season and to control fire immediately if it occurs anywhere in the district.
